I want to create imagery in moments that feel like you. With the utmost intention in everything I do, this experience should feel like yours.

Pour a glass of wine and stay a while, won't you?

i'm KÉra

When I was a little girl, there was nothing more exciting than counting down the days until Christmas. For me, it was counting down as soon as the fireworks in the sky rang in the new year. And it wasn’t just about the presents under the tree, but the magical feeling everyone seemed to be feeling in those moments. The baking of the cookies, the homemade bread, and the decorating all but made me the happiest girl in the world; and not to mention the happiest people around me. Since moving out of my parents house when I was 18 years old, Christmas decorating and preparations seemed to have changed a bit. I was no longer baking days in advance with my mom or my sister, and I never purchased a tree that was  over 4 ft tall. Pitiful if you ask me. With all of the college dorm room moving, and the city hopping, Christmas always felt slightly out of reach in my own place – until this year.

This past year, I moved in with my boyfriend, Vidak. Throughout the year, we have taken his style and my style, and have slowly meshed it to become our own. The house is perfect, and not because we have super nice things, but because it finally feels like a home away from home. So what was the first thing to ask him when Christmas started creeping around the corner? “Are we going to decorate for Christmas?” Of course he was just as excited as I was about the whole idea, that we went above and beyond. From days of Christmas decoration shopping, to picking out the perfect tree, to photographing our own Christmas cards, to finally, throwing our very own Christmas party! Phew – getting exhausted just thinking about it! It was tedious, and it was stressful. But let me tell you, those smiling faces on those who came to our house, the smell of the tree, and the tons of cookie baking we did – all worth it.

Until next year! And who said we can’t keep our decorations up all year round?
